The Robot Nation developed a number of standard troop types:
Designation: TaskM Alpha (Unique / Veteran (Hero) Character) – Commanding officer / Battle Group controller / Infiltration Unit - Human-Male-Variant.
Cost: 70 pts + Weapons cost per character
Tactical Profile: The TaskM Alpha is not as heavily armoured as the combat mannequin, but makes up for this lack of impact resistance with a faster and more agile structure. It has a high situational awareness, and can adapt to rapidly-changing battlefield conditions with relative ease.
When operating as Outcasts, TaskM Alphas may be covered with BIOCAM to allow them to interact with the public. BIOCAM may be fitted at no extra cost. They may wear humanscale armour at appropriate additional costs.
TaskM Alphas are counted as individuals when determining the number of groups and individuals in a force.
TaskM Alphas have 2 rerolls.

Commander class automatons are programmed to use all close combat weapons, all pistols and autoshotguns. They may also be equipped with Click Guns and Ewave guns.
|
Designation: TaskM Beta (Elite Character) – Team Leader / Squad controller
Cost: 65 pts + Weapons cost per character
Tactical Profile: The TaskM Beta is the NCO version of the TaskM Alpha. It carries heavier armour, but is slower and less reactive.
TaskM Betas are not usually fitted with BIOCAM. Under exceptional circumstances (deeply covert operations) BIOCAM may be fitted at a cost of 5 points per character. Automatons without biological camouflage make the ideal terror weapons against poorly equipped gangs. They may wear humanscale armour at appropriate additional costs.
TaskM Betas are counted as individuals when determining the number of groups and individuals in a force.
TaskM Betas have 1 reroll.

|
Designation: Mannequin (Average Unit) – Generic robot grunt
Cost: 50 pts + Weapons cost per unit
Tactical Profile: Designed as a general-purpose combat unit. Mannequins are primarily equipped to operate in low intensity combat situations. They are highly agile and programmed with enhanced reactions, reflected by their high number of action points
Mannequins have hard outer casings and may not be equipped with BIOCAM. Their inherent toughness means that they are not fitted with additional armour (flak jackets, etc.).

Designation: War Doll (Average Unit) – Heavy Duty Combat Chassis
Cost: 90 pts + Weapons cost per unit.
Tactical Profile: The War Doll is the heavy shock-trooper of the Robotic Nation. It is designed to resist most small arms weapons and has the speed and reactions to make it a most formidable opponent, especially in squad-sized numbers.
War Dolls are fitted with hard armour and cannot be fitted with BIOCAM. Their inherent toughness means that they are not fitted with additional armour (flak jackets, etc.).
War Doll class robots cannot 'Drop Down' as described in the rulebook.
War Dolls are equipped with integral recoil-absorbing weapon mounts, permitting them to use assault rifles single-handed. This permits them to use two assault rifles at the same time. (Note that both assault rifles are purchased at normal points cost).
When firing two assault rifles, take one Hit roll and, if successful, the War Doll may make two Wound rolls (one from each assault rifle).

Designation: Mecha (unarmed Mannequin) (Unit) – Servitor robot
Cost: 15 pts + Equipment cost per unit. May be fitted with Diagnose/Repair (+3 points) and toolkit (+4 points
Tactical Profile: Designed as a general-purpose non-combat unit. Mannequins are primarily equipped to operate in zero-combat situations, but may be utilised as aids to squad coherency in combat. Mechas have extensive repair and fault diagnostic software installed as standard, and carry a basic toolkit to enable them to perform front-line repairs to other robots (see below).
Mechas have hard outer casings and may not be equipped with BIOCAM. They may wear humanscale armour at appropriate additional costs.

Mechas are servitor-type automatons, designed to perform maintenance and repair functions. They are also used to re-fuel and re-arm military automatons and vehicles. Mechas are usually fitted with basic toolkits and diagnostic equipment. They may be fitted with cutting and welding gear at a cost of +5 points.
They may carry weapons and ammunition, but cannot use them. Weapons may be handed to combat automatons who may themselves then use them. Token CC Attack Mod and CC Wound Mod values are included for use of Improvised Weapons (spanners as clubs, etc.).
|
Designation: TaskM(F) Alpha (Unique Character) – Commanding officer / Battle Group controller / Infiltration Unit - Human-Female-Variant.
Cost: 70 pts + Weapons cost per character
Tactical Profile: The TaskM(F) Alpha is similar to the TaskM Alpha, but has a revised mechanical layout to more closely resemble a human female. Like its brother machine, it has a high situational awareness, and can adapt to rapidly-changing battlefield conditions with relative ease. TaskM(F) Alphas are less well armoured than TaskMs, but are lighter and more agile, represented by their higher action point value.
When operating as Outcasts, TaskM(F) Alphas may be covered with BIOCAM to allow them to interact with the public. BIOCAM is fitted at no extra cost. They may wear humanscale armour at appropriate additional costs.
TaskM(F) Alphas are counted as individuals when determining the number of groups and individuals in a force.

Typical Squad Composition
A typical Robotic Nation squad will consist of four to eight Mannequins and one or two War Dolls under the command of a single TaskM Beta. One or more squads are then commanded by a single TaskM Alpha. On extended missions, the force is supplemented by a small number of Mechas, one or two per squad:
